Are you racking your brains, trying to come up with a kick-ass date for that special lady you just met? You could take her out to dinner and a movie, but you know she’s way too original for that. She’s the kind of woman who would sooner live out scenes from the movie Deathproof than watch them in a theatre, and you love that about her because that taste for danger is something the two of you share.

There are lots of options out there for people who are looking for a power-packed date night. Just be sure to wear your steel-toed boots and sign those waivers because things get risky.
Escape a Zombie Attack
There are several versions of an Escape Room to be enjoyed, though some are kind of lame. They’re usually located in old industrial warehouses and feature clues you and your date need to find and decipher in order to “make it out alive.” One of my favorites involves a zombie who’s chained to the wall. You have only so many chances to solve the puzzle and with every failed attempt, the zombie’s chain grows longer.
You and your date will have to work as a team, all the while getting fired up with adrenaline. Don’t be surprised if you want to strip each other’s clothes off afterwards. Some escape rooms require group participation. If you’re not okay with that, just be sure to find one that offers date night packages.
Break and Destroy
I’m not talking about random shit, like car windows and knee caps (though what you do with your private time is none of my business.) I’m referring to this amazingly cathartic place called the Rage Room. For the somewhat reasonable price of $80 ($40 each) you and your date will be left in a room for 45 minutes with a crow bar, baseball bat, body armour and an assortment of items to smash the crap out of.
I especially enjoyed destroying an old printer, but there are lots of options, from dishes to smaller electronics. I got so turned on by watching my boyfriend unleash the power of his rage. Just be aware that there are cameras in the room for safety reasons, so don’t get too carried away with your displays of affection.
Go to a 4-D Movie
If you don’t want to stray that far from the standard date-night experience, why not try a movie in 4-D? If you haven’t already heard about this, 4-D movies are almost like a theme park ride in that they mix the visual effects of a 3-D movie with things like moving seats and splashing water.
I haven’t tried one yet but I’ve seen some previews and they look like a lot of fun. They remind me of the old race car ride Days of Thunder that I must have gone on at least ten times as a kid. Maybe do dinner afterwards though, if you know what I’m saying.
